Gallery 2 Albert Wehde

 

Salad set, two pieces, composed of spoon and three-tined fork.   Wide spade-shaped bowls with straight bottoms that end in small flanges, curving saw-pierced details on fork, heavily worked coffin-end handles with elaborate chased pattern of loops and central dart bisecting chased "B" monogram.  Hammered surfaces.  Fork:  10" L and 2-11/16" W.  Spoon:  10" L and 2-5/8" W.  Marked:  WEHDE / STERLING
