Gallery 2 ▪ Mildred Watkins

 

Salt (one of two), round, large, with eight small pierced diamonds and detailed chased geometric pattern on wide raised rim, green enameling inside.  Enamel is flaked at edge of one salt.  Heavy.  Engraved "M.E.G. / 1937" in script on side.  3-3/16" W and 3/4" H.  Marked:  [Watkins sailing ship mark] / STERLING.  With salt spoon, chased and pierced design at rounded, notched end, enamel in green, blue and white.  2-5/8" L and 9/16" W.  Marked:  MILDRED WATKINS
