Gallery 2 ▪ Lona P. Schaeffer

 

Server, massive, with pointed arrowhead-form trowel-like blade, wide spreading handle with large applied hand-worked lily and leaf ornament at end, with stems that curve around to the back.  Raised midline on blade and handle that tapers to the edges.  Lovely hammering.  Heavy and imposing.  12-3/8" L and 3-1/2" W and 1-3/8" H.  Marked:  HAND WROUGHT [LPS mark] STERLING
