Carence Crafters page 2 -- The most common and recognizable Carence Crafters items are probably its small trays.  The firm also made candleholders, desk sets, bookends, and the unusually large book racks shown below.

Desk set, brass, composed of eight pieces:  rectangular pen tray, letter knife, letter holder, square inkwell with tapering sides and hinged overlapping top, and 4 blotter corners.  All pieces have the same acid-etched bamboo design.  Only the tray and letter knife are signed.  The knife is hammered and convex.  The inkwell has applied brass supports at each edge.
