Kalo bowl, round, covered, with two ebony handles each carved with six parallel lobes and an end that scrolls downward, and riveted to a rectangular extension on each side, on large round self foot. Domed tightly-fitting removable round lid centers a round ebony handle carved with eight lobes and with a small silver finial.

Bowl, round, covered, with two ebony handles each carved with six parallel lobes and an end that scrolls downward, and riveted to a rectangular extension on each side, on large round self foot.  Domed tightly-fitting removable round lid centers a round ebony handle carved with eight lobes and with a small silver finial.  Handle sits on a round silver collar above a large, finely hammered repoussé flower made up of 12 tear-shaped petals. Nicely hammered.  Striking and heavy.  Bowl:  11-3/8" W across handles and 2/3/8" H.  Lid:  7-7/8" W and 2-13/16" H.  Together:  11-3/8" W and 5" H.
